Wakaba came from a low life family, with a mother that abandoned them and a father that cares more about beer bottles than his own son, and for that reason (and for being quite rebellious) Wakaba started to sell his body, half-heartedly attached a "vagina" on himself and became an androgynous (a popular term for a female made by the society).
At his father's funeral he met for the first time, Nagamochi Nishikiori who became his lover in the future, but at that moment, Nagamochi was the main responsible for the drastic change in Wakaba's life, what gave origin for the respect that later became the feeling of love for his childhood friend.
